Our Fantastic English – Speaking and Listening program emphasizes on developing the abilities of students to prepare and deliver arguments, opinions, explanations and clarification in spoken English. Students are trained to speak in grammatically correct sentences. There are four levels in this program. In the more advanced level of this program, current news and topics will be discussed so that students are exposed to social issues. Group discussion is conducted regularly throughout the course.

The objectives are as follows:

  • To build up the proficiency and confidence of students in spoken English
  • To develop the verbal presentation skills and listening skills of students
  • To provide opportunities for students to do public presentation
  • To increase the awareness of students in social issues and develop their critical thinking
  • To allow students to listen to and practice authentic English

Activities in the program include: Story and Vocabulary, Speaking and Listening Activity, Weekly discussion and Presentation (Level 1), Topic discussion and Presentation (Level 2), News of the Week (Level 3) and Debate (Level 4).

Each student will finish a workbook, receive a midterm evaluation and an assessment per term.
